Hi Mrs Cherryholme ( I know you liked me to call you Myrtle but it stems back to knowing you from being a child :-) ). It's been a while since I last posted but I still miss you everyday. Mum and I were speaking to your sister last week sharing memories but I am sure you will have been watching down and know this. Toby is doing fantastic which I am sure you also know as I know you will be watching over your treasured furry friend. I miss him too but I am happy knowing he is loved as much as you loved him. I always have tears in my eyes when I write to you........rest in paradise. All my love to you always......Tracy xxxx

My Grandma was possibly the most caring, thoughtful and selfless lady we have ever met. Someone who would drop everything to help you and in return asked for nothing. One of my Grandma's most redeeming qualities has always been her ability to be friends with everyone she came into contact with. I am and will continue to be immensely proud of my Grandma. When my Grandad died 13 years ago, she could have retreated into her shell but instead she decided to live her life in a positive way. She conquered fears such as open water by taking a boat ride under one of the most famous waterfalls in the World, the Niagara Falls. She flew in an airplane, though often causing damage to the arm rest through gripping it so tightly. She tended to her garden and grew her own vegetables all the while maintaining a positive and friendly outlook with her beloved and spoilt four legged friend, Toby. A wife, a mother, a grandma too, This is the legacy we have from you. You taught us love and how to fight, You gave us strength, you gave us might. A stronger person would be hard to find, And in your heart, you were always kind. You fought for us all in one way or another, Not just as a wife not just as a mother. For all of us you gave your best, Now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you've earned your sleep, Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep We hope that you rest in peace Grandma, safe in the knowledge that you have provided us with a lifetime of happy memories.

I am still in shock at the loss of Myrtle whom I have known for 47 years since the age of 2 who I still referred fondly to as Mrs Cherryholme. She was such a kind, sweet, lovely lady. I am going to miss her so much, seeing her at work in her beautiful garden, seeing her on my way to and from work walking her beloved Toby, the chats over the fence whom I visit mum, the stories she used to tell of days gone, so many things. I will always remember her with love and will smile when I think of her. We will always make sure Toby is well cared for. They were inseparable. Sleep tight Mrs Cherry holme . .I will always hold a special place in my heart for you. Reunited with Tom never to be parted. Love Tracy Alan and Andrew x

It was such a pleasure for John, Katie & I to meet Myrtle, the Grandma that Russ had often spoken fondly of and whom had so warmly welcomed our daughter Emma into her family. The lovely spirit of Myrtle will not die but lives on in the memories of happy times with Anne, Kirsty & Russ.

We first met Myrtle when we visited her and Tom in 2001. Our time with them was so special, they showed us such kindness and love. Myrtle was always so ready to drive Dave and I anywhere we wanted to go and see everything, they even took us to Liverpool, actually the whole family came we took 2 cars. We had the most memorable time and will never forget the love and kindness Myrtle and all the family showed to us. You and Tom are now together in a better place. Heaven.

Myrtle you were always very kind and thoughtful to us all and we remember you with love and admiration. Nothing was too much and you always saw the good in everyone. You loved your dogs and always showered them with love and they were a big part of your family and who you were. I (Angela) always remember our little chats, you were a good listener and gave advice but you were never judgemental. You loved your family unconditionally and they loved you too. We are going to miss such a wonderful, caring thoughtful woman and we will hold you in our hearts always. You are now reunited with Tom. Rest In peace.xxx

Myrtle was always there for everyone. Dedicated to her family, she was always such a pleasant person throughout her life. It's so sad that she passed away so suddenly. I'm pleased that both Russell and Kirsty were so dedicated to her and that they had the benefit of a strong relationship with a such a lovely grandma. Rest in peace.
