On 22nd June 2015, at Kirkwood Hospice following a brave battle with cancer, Steve aged 62 years of Oakes. Beloved husband of Mavis, much loved dad of Rachael, besotted grandad of Ethan and the late Mason, very dear son of Marie and the late Jack, a dear brother to David and Barry and brother-in-law to Kenneth. Family and friends were invited to meet at Huddersfield Crematorium on Monday 6th July at 11.15 a.m. to say farewell to Steve, followed by a service to celebrate his life at Oakes Baptist Church at 12.30 p.m. Donations in memory of Steve were split between Huddersfield/Halifax Sands Support Group and Kirkwood Hospice.  Bright Colours may be worn. Tel: 01484 602378 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT Mavis and Rachael wish to express their sincere thanks for all the kind messages of condolence, cards, beautiful flowers and generous donations received, and to so many family and friends for attending Steve's funeral.  Thanks are extended to Rev George Spencer for his lovely service at the crematorium and to David Pickering for such a wonderful "Celebration of Life" service at Oakes Baptist Church, and to all those who made it such a success.  Special thanks to Dr Brown and his team on Oncology, to Ward 3, the stoma nurses, Mr Anwar and his team at HRI and the District Nurses for their care of Steve.  We would like to thank Prof Lodge and his team at St James Hospital, Leeds, to our GP Dr Glencross and his staff, and to all the chemist staff at Rowlands.  A very big thank you to the Doctors and Nurses who not only cared for Steve at Kirkwood Hospice, but also Rachael and I at this difficult time.  We would like to thank Elaine Gill and Andrew Gammon for their help and care and to The Irish Centre for the wonderful buffett.  Finally our thanks go to Janice and colleagues at Gateway Funeral Services for their professional, friendly and helpful service.  May God Bless You all. x
